Recovery time

According to the procedure and individual situations, the recovery time could be longer or shorter. In general you will need assistance or couple of days, but after that you should be able to take care about yourself.

Here you can find an average for some common procedures in Plastic Surgery, however, this doen't include time to go back to excercise.  You can find more information about these and other procedures in other sections of our site, such as "At a Glance" and "Procedures".

Ambulatory Facilities: Same Day Facilities

An increasing number of plastic surgery procedures are being performed on an ambulatory, or same day basis. This means you will arrive and leave the facility in which the surgery is being performed on the same day as the operation.

It can't answer all of your questions and it doesn't apply to every country, so we encourage you to please ask your doctor about anything you don't understand.
