• Risks of the travel in the final surgical outcome.

• Time that you need to stay in the destination to decrease the risk of complications.

• Local laws regarding medical issues.

• Local standards of anesthesia, facilities and nursing care.

• Language that the personal and surgeon speaks.

• Total cost involved considering the procedure, travel, postoperative care or unanticiapated complications.

One of the most important parts of the procedures performed overseas, is to feel comfortable with the surgeon providing your care and the facility where the procedure will be performed. You should be able to contact your surgeon if you have any doubt and you could also consider to contact a local, qualified plastic surgeon when you return home.
